The ChemCity Industrial Park is situated in Sasolburg, the industrial hub of the Free State. It boasts 120 hectares of industrial land zoned to accommodate both medium and light industries, warehouses, office parks and retail spaces. Stands available in the industrial park range from 700m² to 25 000m², with the average stand size being around 3500m².

Potential entrepreneurs assisted by ChemCity are offered the opportunity to locate their developing businesses in the industrial park, with ChemCity facilitating site selection, and assisting with feasibility studies, risk assessments, and legal and environmental compliance such as environmental impact assessments, major hazardous installation studies and so forth. The industrial park offers basic services (water, electricity and sewage) and has 24-hour access-controlled security.

It is not compulsory for potential entrepreneurs to consider using the ChemCity managed site. ChemCity is willing to assist entrepreneurs who wish to establish their business anywhere in South Africa.

ChemCity also works in close collaboration with Karbochem in Sasolburg and Sasol Infrachem (Midland site) which have a limited number of fully serviced sites suitable for heavy chemical industries available.

The close proximity to larger industrial activities at Sasol, Natref, Omnia and Karbochem in Sasolburg ensures that entrepreneurs using the park have access to competitively priced feedstocks, a well established skills base, training and development; and receive competitive rates on services such as transport, laboratory services, and maintenance. ChemCity also works closely with local, provincial and central Government, which ensures that entrepreneurs receive the support they need to develop successful businesses.
